The recent Ludo Championship – Season 1 brought together players for an action-packed event full of strategy, excitement, and fun.
Competitors battled fiercely in both singles and doubles matches, with one singles match even having to be abandoned after running far too long – a true testament to the passion and competitive spirit of the participants.
The event was made possible thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Sports Working Group and generous contributors. Special appreciation goes to Samiur Rahman, Chair of the Sports Working Group, for securing the perfect venue; Yasser Shamsher, Co-Chair of the Sports Working Group, for bringing the Ludo boards all the way from Dhaka; and Saravat Chowdhury for treating everyone to delicious samosas and tea. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Golabaji for generously sponsoring the gift hampers for the winners.
Adding a humorous touch, one enthusiastic player shared,
“It felt the same as when the share market crashes – that’s exactly how it felt when my token got cut.”
This playful comment captured the highs and lows of the competition perfectly.
With excitement running high, organisers have already hinted at Season 2, promising more fun, strategy, and Ludo action. Until then, participants are encouraged to keep practicing and preparing for the next thrilling round.
