Team Atlas shines at Australian Rover Challenge 2024

We are thrilled to celebrate the extraordinary achievement of our very own Team Atlas at the Australian Rover Challenge (ARCh) 2024, held in Adelaide.

Competing against a field of international and Australian university teams, Team Atlas secured a coveted top-10 finish, a testament to their innovation, teamwork, and passion for space exploration.

Their rovers — Atlas Mars Rover v3 and Atlas Mars Rover v3.1 — performed impressively across the ARCh’s demanding tasks, which included lunar-analogue navigation, excavation, autonomous mapping, and resource prospecting.

The 2024 event, held at the University of Adelaide’s EXTERRES facility, saw ten teams from universities across Australia, Bangladesh, and Poland competing under the scrutiny of industry experts from Boeing, ELO2, and the Australian Space Agency.

We couldn’t be prouder of Team Atlas for representing the NSU community on such a challenging international stage. Their success demonstrates not only technical skill but also the spirit of innovation that drives our alumni network.

Congratulations, Team Atlas — your hard work has truly made the NSU Alumni community proud!
