Our recently organised Resume Assessment sessions for NSU Alumni in Adelaide were a great success!
Alumni received practical, personalised guidance from experienced mentors, while organisers ensured the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
It was inspiring to see our alumni confidently taking steps to enhance their career prospects. Special thanks to Saravat Chowdhury and Mir Ashif Newaj for mentoring attendees and sharing insights from their professional journeys. Saravat, a seasoned recruiter across diverse industries, provided tips on what employers are looking for, while Ashif, working in Adelaide’s financial sector, shared his experience transitioning from student life to a successful full-time career.
The event, titled “NSU Alumni: Get Your Resume Ready for Success!”, was a free 60-minute session tailored to help alumni stand out in the job market. Participants learned how to:
- Craft resumes that catch employers’ attention
- Highlight transferable skills effectively
- Gain practical strategies to advance their careers
Held on Saturday, 27 September, the sessions offered two time slots, ensuring every attendee received personalised feedback. The focus was not only on improving resumes but also on empowering NSU Alumni with confidence, knowledge, and practical tips to achieve their career goals.
The Resume Assessment sessions were a great example of our alumni community coming together to support one another, share experiences, and grow professionally.
