Starting a new life in Adelaide as an international student can be both exciting and challenging.
For one Adelaide NSUers member, Nazifa, a major milestone was recently achieved.
She secured a casual role at Adelaide Oval. This was made possible through the encouragement and guidance of the Adelaide NSUers community. The achievement marks an important professional step. It also reflects the strength of a support network. This network helps new students adapt, build confidence, and navigate opportunities in a new city.
Nazifa said, “Joining Adelaide Oval is a dream come true, and it wouldn’t have happened without my NSUers family cheering me on.”
The opportunity first appeared in the Adelaide NSUers Facebook group, shared by Monjurul Alam. Although unfamiliar with the role at the time, the shared details and supportive comments inspired the student to apply with confidence.
A special acknowledgment goes to Saravat Chowdhury, whose practical advice played a pivotal role throughout the process. From preparing for the interview to understanding expectations and presenting professionally, her step-by-step guidance made the journey less overwhelming and far more achievable.
Sara said, “Guiding someone through a new experience is rewarding, especially when it leads to milestones like joining Adelaide Oval.”
With continued support – from completing online modules to attending the induction – each stage felt manageable thanks to the community standing behind them.
This experience highlights the strength of the Adelaide NSUers network, which has become more than just a social platform. For many, it is a family away from home, offering reassurance, mentorship, and genuine care.
The member shared their gratitude for the opportunity and the people who supported them, expressing excitement to grow, learn, and give back to the community that helped make this success possible.
